After work: Isar walk

What to expect
An circular walk along the Isar from Munich Zoo south until Grosshesseloe where we return on the other side of the river and end at a Biergarten to meet, chat and enjoy an evening outside with like-minded hiking enthusiasts after work.

Start: Thalkirchener Platz, at 6 pm
How to find us? In front of Gelatobi Ice Cream Shop --> check google maps, the organiser will hold up a sign

End: Gasthaus Alter Wirt (5 mins from Thalkirchen U-Bahn)

Length: 8 km flat-walking along the river, 2 hrs

My name is Johanna, and I run these (more or less) bi-weekly Isar-Walks all summer to spread the word about Shanti Treks and connect with like-minded Hiking Enthusiasts. More info at: www.shantitreks.com or on Instagram & Facebook @shantitreks

I am a qualified UIMLA mountain leader, and a qualified yoga teacher (RYT 500) originaly from Munich. I founded Shanti Treks in 2023 to offer hiking experiences in the Alps and the Himalaya.

I run dayhikes on weekends near Munich, as well as multi-day hiking weekends, multi-day trekking weeks & multi-day hiking and yoga retreats in the German, Austrian and Italian Alps. I also offer trekking tours in Nepal in November and April every year.
