Museum of Art & History - New Gallery

Details
### The Museum of Art & History presents its most ambitious project in 25 years: free admission!
Two brand-new museum galleries dedicated to the decorative arts of the 19th century, Belgian Art Nouveau and Art Deco. This is a unique chance to explore long-hidden collections in newly redesigned spaces that bring their artistic and historical value to life.
- New Gallery: Belgian Art Nouveau and Art Deco (715 m²)
Immerse yourself in the elegant world of Belgian Art Nouveau, born in Brussels in 1893. Marvel at iconic works by Victor Horta, Henry van de Velde, Paul Hankar, and others. Highlight: The fully restored Winter Garden of the House of Cousin — a true gem of Belgian design. The journey continues with Belgian Art Deco: bold, diverse, and the perfect complement to this exploration of modern decorative arts.
- New Gallery: Decorative Arts of the 19th Century (500 m²)
Travel through the defining styles of the 19th century — Empire, Neo-Gothic, Japonisme, and more. Step into the everyday elegance of bourgeois life, with refined furniture, domestic objects, and rare masterpieces — including exclusive loans from the King Baudouin Foundation.
The meeting point is in front of the Art & History Museum building inside the cinquantenaire parc.
Price: free!
After this event we will have a drink if you want.
