Walk and Madrigals

Walk from East Finchley to Finsbury Park, pausing from time to time to sing madrigals together.

Meet outside East Finchley tube station from 1pm, ready to start walking 1:30pm. The walk will take in Cherry Tree Wood, Highgate Wood and then follow the Capital Ring path. It's about 4 miles. Sensible footwear advised.

We'll stop from time to time to sing madrigals, hopefully in harmony. Copies of sheet music provided. It helps if you're able to read music - but it's all completely fun and informal.

Madrigals are typically secular, unaccompanied choral music from the 16th and 17th century, often with rich harmonies. If you're into singing and haven't tried them before, they're really cool!

The event is free but there will be a voluntary collection to cover costs (printing, meetup fees).
