Walk and Songs

Walk from Rotherhithe to Greenwich along the river, pausing from time to time to sing together.

Meet outside Rotherhithe Overground station from 1pm, ready to start walking 1:30pm. The walk will follow the river along the Thames Path. It's about 4 miles.

We'll stop from time to time to sing together, hopefully in harmony. Repertoire to include folk songs and madrigals* - flexible depending on numbers. Copies of sheet music provided. It helps if you're able to read music - but it's all completely fun and informal.

The event is free but there will be a voluntary collection to cover costs (printing, meetup fees).

If the forecast is poor we'll make a wet weather plan. Regardless, I'll be adjourning to a pub after the walk; you're welcome to join.

*Madrigals are typically secular, unaccompanied choral music from the 16th and 17th century, often with rich harmonies. If you're into singing and haven't tried them before, they're really cool!
