Welcome to Music City Data User Group.
We are a Nashville community for data professionals focused on SQL Server and the Microsoft data platform. Our group brings together DBAs, developers, architects, engineers, analysts, and anyone who wants to keep learning and stay connected with the local data community.
Topics may include:

- T-SQL, database design, and performance tuning
- PowerShell and automation for data professionals
- Data engineering, ETL, and data architecture

Intro to PowerShell with dbatools for the DBA
Whether you manage a single instance of SQL Server or hundreds of them, PowerShell and dbatools are invaluable additions to your toolbox. Today, we’re going to scratch the surface with what you can do with these tools to simplify, automate and standardize some of the tasks you perform.
About the Speaker
Tony Wilhelm has amassed over two decades of experience working with databases and computers. His expertise in SQL Server dates back to 1999, showcasing his extensive knowledge in the field. Throughout his career, Tony has held various roles, including DBA, developer, and manager, in both large and small companies spanning multiple industries.
Currently, Tony serves as a Senior Consultant and Technology Lead for the Data Management as a Service division at Moser Consulting. In this role, he brings his wealth of experience to the table, providing valuable insights and guidance to drive the implementation of effective solutions.
