Music Iz Medicine: Theme of the Month is Reconciliation

This month we gather with the intention of reconciliation. Reconciliation with our bodies, our breath, our emotions, our inner child, our creative spark, and our own spirit. This experience invites us to soften, release, remember, and return to what feels true and whole.

About the event
Please join Stacey “Ophelia” Cohen for Music Iz Medicine, an evening of rhythm, sound, and soulful connection. This experience blends the power of drum circle, improvised music, and sound healing to create a sanctuary for freedom, play, and renewal. There is no need for musical experience. Your presence is all that is required.
If you are a musician, this is a rare chance to step out of performance mode and relax into pure expression. There is no pressure to sound perfect or entertain anyone. You can simply play, explore, and reconnect with music in a way that feels joyful and liberating.

Expect an evening of

  • Collective rhythm and drumming
  • Soundscape immersion with healing tones of peace
  • Opportunities for dance, singing, spoken word, and free expression
  • A safe, joyful, and inclusive space to connect with self and community

What to bring
Drums, instruments, your voice, poetry, freestyle expression, and dancing shoes. Extra drums and percussion will be available if you need them, but please bring your own if you have them. Seating is provided, and you are welcome to bring a chair or blanket for comfort.

Tickets
Suggested love donation is twenty dollars per person to help cover the space at Unity.

Pay at the door or in advance through Venmo (Stacey-Cohen-2) or CashApp (SoulfulPresence). Please mark personal if you do not mind.
