Summer Festival: Encounter Lecture III

Details
The Jim and Mical Brenzel Encounter Series invites you to go beyond the concert hall and explore the heart of chamber music. Led by top musicians and thinkers, these evening talks explore the themes of each festival with great stories, insights, and musical moments. Whether you're a longtime fan or just getting into chamber music, you'll come away inspired.
Brilliant American lyric tenor Nicholas Phan returns to Music@Menlo to lead this season’s third Encounter. Phan will explore the story of how the human voice joined with strings, pianos, and winds to create an essential chamber music genre. With a look back to the great vocal composers of the Baroque era and a rich sampling of the Romantic vocal literature, Phan will provide an enticing introduction to Music@Menlo’s August 3 Concert Program, "Let’s Add Voices!"
LOCATION: Spieker Center for the Arts, Menlo School, Atherton
