Westside Jam & Skylark Fundraiser

The Skylark is the last long-term music venue in West Seattle and they are getting forced to move due to the Light Rail expansion.
Hosting a jam fundraiser to support them and get the jams started before the weather is solid.
$10 suggested donation, but you can pay any amount including nothing.
Will have a backline of drums, amps, microphones, and a keyboard. I’ll also have a guitar and bass people can borrow or you can use your own.
Signup is at 6 and the jam starts at 7 and goes till probably around 10. You’ll be allocated into groups and get around 10-15 per group depending on the number of people. It’s possible you could play in multiple groups - also just depends on the number of people. If you came with somebody you want to be in a group with that can likely be arranged.
If you can make it or think you might, an RSVP on the Facebook event is appreciated to help build momentum. If this goes well, it is very possible it could become a more regular thing.

p.s. - Some basic jam guidelines:
**The volumes will be balanced ahead of time, so please leave the amp volumes as is (sound guy is present to make adjustments) and do your best to play at a volume that is well balanced with the others.
**Be sure to share whatever the chords are among the harmony players and perhaps the key to soloists. Simple is better.
**Most people like soloing, so be sure to share and limit solos to 16-32 bars.
**If there is a singer, they can coordinate who is soloing by pointing to them.
**If someone does really well, perhaps offer to buy them a beverage and lure them into your band :).
