About us
This group is for any fans of musical comedy, both live and recorded, in London, to go to live comedy, cabaret, music and theatre shows featuring musical comedy, and perhaps just to meet up to discuss, share and appreciate musical comedy too?
Musical comedy is any form of comedy that involves music, be it original songs, parodies/spoofs, or characters, sketches, sit-coms, puns/one-liners, stand-up, improvised or alternative comedy involving music, or even just good old musical theatrical productions that are funny.
Feel free to use the message boards of the group to discuss your favourite musical comedy acts and songs, suggest shows to go to, and help us come together as a community.
This group is run by Dave Nattriss, a musical comedy fan in London who also runs the Musical Comedy Guide website and helps behind the scenes at the Musical Comedy Awards.

Semi-final 2 is headlined by 2020 Musical Comedy Awards Audience Favourite, Amy Webber! Wasted degree in opera. Teacher's pet. Born in Chesterfield, raised in Japan. Amy is a witty and energetic lost soul who despite years of culture, education and therapy still finds farts funny. Originally training as an opera singer but then rebelling into pop, performing comedy was an unexpected career move which has resulted in the perfect platform to combine songwriting, singing and being silly with free rein.
Amy has performed live multiple times on BBC Radio 4 and been recognised as “playful and charismatic” (Chortle) and for having “divinely constructed comedy” (Playbill). In 2023, her debut one woman show won ‘Best Comedy’ at Manchester Fringe and featured on the Telegraph's ’35 Funniest Shows of the Fringe’ after a sell out run at Edinburgh Fringe. 2025 saw her second show, ‘Wannabe’ get shortlisted for Best Show by the ISH Edinburgh Comedy Awards. Amy has provided tour support for the likes of Grace Campbell, Christopher Hall, Emmanuel Sonubi and Max Fosh.
- WINNER ‘Best Stand Up Comedy’ at Manchester Fringe (2023)
