Are you a talented musician or vocalist with a passion for jazz fusion and a desire to collaborate with like-minded artists? We’re assembling a dynamic group to explore the rich, rhythmic world of jazz fusion — inspired by legends like Marcus Miller, Dave Weckl, Herbie Hancock, Stevie Wonder, and beyond.
Our goal is to form a collective that blends creativity, technical skill, and groove to perform both instrumental and vocal fusion-style interpretations of popular songs, as well as original compositions. We aim to meet regularly for jam sessions with the potential for live performances in the future. Free studio space available but you will need to bring your own gear. Zip 90033
We’re currently seeking musicians who play:
• Bass (funky, melodic, groove-driven)
• Guitar (rhythmic chops and solo creativity)
• Keyboards (synths, Rhodes, clavinet — the works)
• Saxophone (tenor, alto, or soprano)
• Trumpet (or other brass with bold energy)
• Vocalists who can bring a unique, soulful style to fusion arrangements of contemporary songs.
Ideal members will:
• Be comfortable with improvisation and complex rhythms
• Have an appreciation for jazz, funk, soul, and fusion influences
• Bring a positive, collaborative spirit to rehearsals and performances
• Be open to creative interpretation of both instrumental and vocal material
• Available at least one weeknight or weekend day per week.
Times are flexible. No stress, fun & casual environment.
