About Us
“Music Makers Tokyo” is a community of music makers, performers, and enthusiasts in Tokyo. Rooted in the love for music production and creativity, our group brings together locals and internationals alike who share a passion for creating, exploring, and celebrating all forms of music. From electronic and ambient sounds to experimental and genre-blending beats, we welcome diversity and innovation across the music spectrum.
If you have made some music and would like to share it with the world, Music Makers Tokyo is the place to do that! Either come and perform it live (up to 5 minutes) or send us your track in advance and we will DJ it for you on the night. We’ll highlight you as the creator, sparking new conversations and connections around your work.

Our Goals
1. Create a Collaborative Space: We aim to foster a supportive environment where music makers and musicians can meet, share ideas, and build connections. Through open performances, DJ sets, and playlist showcases, we encourage members to celebrate each other’s work and spark collaborative projects.
2. Support All Levels of Experience: Whether you’re an experienced producer or just starting, Music Makers Tokyo is a place to grow. We welcome creators of all backgrounds and skills to contribute, learn, and exchange insights on music production.
3. Host Inclusive, Social Events: Our events at The Den in Koenji provide an inviting, conversation-friendly space that balances performance with interaction. We aim to break down barriers between genres and bring together music lovers who want to enjoy, discuss, and be inspired by each other’s creations.
4. Build an International Community: Tokyo’s music scene is as diverse as the people in it. We embrace the international character of our community, creating a unique mix of influences, ideas, and sounds that enriches everyone’s musical journey.
5. Promote Original Music Creation: In a world where AI content and trends like covers and remixes dominate, we provide a haven for those who value creating something truly original. It doesn’t have to be perfect, but it does have to be yours. We celebrate creativity and authenticity, offering a space where individuality shines.
