CommuniTEA Hangout

Details

Salaam friends,

Come join MPV-NY for our first CommuniTEA (see what we did there) event. This will be a space for community members and allies to gather and jointly decompress as we enter a new calendar year. This event is open to all, as long as they respect our meeting guidelines (see note on anonymity and safe spaces below). We encourage you to bring friends and family members, no matter their faith.

When: Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 6 pm (ET)
Attire: Ugly Sweaters (let's be festive!)
Things to bring: a poem, passage (Qur'anic, if you wish), chai (spiked or not...) and/or anything you'd like to share

---
Note on anonymity and confidentiality: We do not repeat someone else’s name outside of these sessions related to the sessions. However, we share our learnings from the information we hear in our own perspective. If you do not feel comfortable sharing your face or speaking, that's entirely your right and your decision to do so will never be questioned.

Note on safe spaces: We joyfully and gratefully welcome the opportunities to be held accountable by our peers. We intentionally create “safe conversation containers” for accountability to happen. We practice protocols that allow us to really hear each other and hold each other accountable kindly, directly, and bravely. Our meetings are not recorded for this reason.
