Cranksgiving from CCBC has become an annual tradition for many, including my self. Over the past few years I've tried to put a bit of organization to an unorganized ride. That is this meetup and Facebook event!

Donate to the Maryland Food Bank
Similar to years past I plan to arrive early and will have boxes in the back of my truck to collect food for the Maryland Food Bank. If you would like to help but can not make the ride to donate actual food please consider donating to the food bank through my virtual food drive here: https://mdfoodbank.fenly.org/drive/cranksgiving2022/

Ride Info:
Waiver: Mountain biking is a risky sport, By signing up for this meetup you are agreeing to our waiver located here: https://www.meetup.com/MVD-Mountain-Bikers/pages/Standard_Waiver_for_Meetup_Rides/

Where/Directions: CCBC Lot 6. That's where the fun starts!

What time: So I'm going to try to be there at 8am with donuts, and ready to collect any non perishable food! We'll be getting ready by 8:45 and will roll about 9:10 am. Group Pic at 9am...

Pace: As always this will depend on group dynamics, and honestly it always splits with people knowing each other. If you decide to follow me, I will lead a 13 mileish ride. Not sure of route yet, but it will fun, and expect to roll around 8 mph.

Ride description: It will be Avalon, and we will hit both sides. Route, I need to figure out.

Duration: I would like to be back by noon...So no more than 3 hours from 9am to noon. We can shorten the ride up if we need to.

Bring: Helmet (required), water (as much as you can carry), spare tube/patch kit, pump/CO2, multi-tool, I.D., emergency contact info where it can be easily located on your person, and a good attitude, as this ride is as much about camaraderie as it is about riding. Take a look at your bike and make sure it is in good working condition (Ptap will take its toll on the bike).

Weather: Shine Only (there will undoubtedly be some mud, but no ride if it’s raining or the trails are too muddy). Protect our trails and don’t ride them when they’re fragile. I will cancel here, and note it on our Facebook page as well, if I cancel due to trail condition.
