For those who do not know about this event it is put on by the Quantico Mountain Bike Club and they do a great job hosting it (almost) every year. From year to year they fight to make this event happen. I say fight, as it is held on the actual Marine Corp base Quantico, and depending on the year / timing it does not happen sometimes. Some know there are legal trails outside of the gates of Quantico which you can ride, but what is cool abut this event is that you get to actually ride the trails inside of Quantico, and get to go through the stone roads around the officer training area. Just know camera's are not allowed on much of this ride, but that's what makes it kind of cool! Hope to see you there. Here is the info:

Hot Tip: Get there about an hour early if you are a civilian don't have military type badging which lets you get into base. You will need to go through check in process to get into the base, at a separate location before heading into base.

From the registration page:
THE TRAILS OF QUANTICO ARE CALLING! ARE YOU READY?
**DBIDs registration is required for non-DoD affiliated riders (see notes below). Volunteer opportunities available: https://www.bikereg.com/volunteer-registration-quantico-epic**

The mountain biking trails of Marine Corps Base (MCB) Quantico are only open to the general public once a year, so spread the word and join QMTB for a little Mayhem in 2024.

Event Shirts and Challenge Coins will be guaranteed to all riders who pre-register prior to April 15th. Due to base access requirements, registration for this event will close at midnight, April 23th. THERE WILL BE NO DAY OF REGISTRATION. Don't miss out, register today!

BASE ACCESS REQUIREMENTS and DBIDS REGISTRATION - Base access for this year's event will require DBIDs pre-registration. If you are not active duty or retired military, or do not possess a DoD affiliated CAC, you will be required to complete DBIDs pre-registration and provide a QR code. Failure to complete DBIDs will result in base access being denied. DBIDs pre-registration cannot occur more than 30 days prior to the event, so on March 30th, you will receive a confirmation email with additional information on completing base access requirements for April 27th. All the necessary information to complete DBIDs will be provided. If you would like to review the DBIDs process, visit: https://dbids-global-enroll.dmdc.mil/preenrollui/#!/
