Park in the Fred Escew lot at the trailhead.

Entrance fee: $3 per vehicle in-state and $5 out-of-state; or, you may order a Maryland annual Park Pass.

Sunset means: LIGHTS are REQUIRED. Best to have two lights- one helmet mount and one handlebar mount.
Helmets mandatory. Carry water. Make sure you are fitted properly to your your bike and ensure it is in good working order.

Fun and casual pace, but NOT for extreme beginners- must have at least some single-track experience, as this ride is not a substitute for guidance received in a beginner’s clinic. Be prepared to wait at intersections. We ride as a group and finish as a group. DNR requires me to call with a headcount before and after ride. Plan for 9 to 11 miles. If you are unsure if the ride is appropriate for you, call the ride leader to discuss- She would be happy to arrange a ride with you on another day.

Ride leader will check the weather radar and post any necessary cancellations in the comments section on Meetups, at least an hour before ride start

****New Gate Entry Info:
To get through the gate after hours, use the system they have in place for hunters. Upon arrival to the park, the screen will say "PARK CLOSED, Hunter Access" (option D). Select that, then follow the prompts. First it will ask you to select for "in-state" or "out of state". Next will give the option to pay (cash or credit) or to use a "Maryland Park Pass". To pay, the machine will take exact change only, or any Visa, MasterCard or Discover. If anyone in your group has an annual pass or a golden age pass, or is active duty military or veteran, they can get in by selecting "Maryland Park Pass" and entering a temporary passcode. They can call us at the office (301-888-1410 or 443-975-4358) or email (cedarville.statepark@Maryland.gov) prior to the event to get the passcode.*****
