What we’re about
Sharing information about Minimum Viable Robots
Robots will soon be here. MVR Paris is a meetup group focused on exploring abilities and specifications of MVRs (Minimum Viable Robots). We’re a community of creators, researchers, and engineers eager to purchase a MVR, as well as dive into the core functionalities, real-world use cases, and transformative potential of affordable, useful robots. We will become the ambassadors for the integration of robots into our world.
During our meetups, we’ll tackle questions such as:
Which essential functionalities should an MVR possess? (e.g., basic mobility, object manipulation, voice interaction, etc.)
What are the baseline specifications and technologies required? (sensors, motors, AI modules, etc.)
How can MVRs reshape our jobs, industries, and daily routines? (automation, data analytics, human–robot collaboration)
What about alignment and safety concerns? (ethical considerations, fail-safes, and responsible deployment)
Join us to learn, network, and help define the MVR standard that could transform how we live and work.

See all- P(doom) or P(happiness) Which will it be? Human v1.0 Brainstorming SessionAlgolia, Paris
We'll brainstorm topics related to MVR (Minimum Viable Robots). We're mainly focused on personal humanoid robots such as the Tesla Optimus. Some of the topics we'll brainstorm are:
- Probability of Doom or Happiness in a robot world?
- What is an MVR?
- Why are personal robots significant?
- What are the opportunities?
- What is the timeframe?
- What are the roles?
- What are the specifications of a MVR?
- What are the social, legal and ethical issues?Group's Manifesto: https://github.com/BSalita/Personal-Humanoid-Robot-Manifesto/ Download "Personal Humanoid Robot Manifesto.docx"
Many thanks to Algolia for hosting the event. Doors open at 6:30PM. Event starts at 7PM. Note, we are an independent group and not connected to Algolia.
