Headlands Loop, Bobcat to Miwok from Gerbode Lot. 6 miles/1000 ft.

Please join me for a beautiful Headlands loop staring from Gerbode Valley Trailhead parking lot. It has beautiful views.

We'll start at Gerbode Valley Trailhead parking lot, which is about 1.6 miles past the Baker-Barry Tunnel on the right hand side. Look for the sign on the right hand side of Bunker Rd that reads "Gerbode Valley Trailhead" (with a right arrow). Turn in there. Don't use Apple Maps because it takes you to the wrong place. Google maps gets you to the correct place for this one. Parking is free. We'll meet near the bathroom.

We'll hike up Bobcat Trail and down the Miwok Traill. It will be about 6 miles and 1000 feet elevation gain. It's full exposure but could be foggy or windy, with little shade and there is some loose gravel. So you might benefit from bringing poles and using sunscreen. Bring water, snacks if you need them, and good hiking shoes/boots.

Please note that the wait time to go through the tunnel can be up to 5 minutes. Please allow extra time. Members really appreciate starting on time and frown at late comers!! Please have "boots on" and be ready to hike at 9:30.
