All below was cleared by phone with the candy store owner and Cleveland national Forest Ranger.

1. Sitton Peak is open! Initially, it was closed after the fires. A community petition got it re-opened!
2. Parking: The parking lot across the street from candy store is closed, however there is parking along the highway, Ortega Hwy 74. Adventure pass is your choice, I’m getting one for my car.
3. Candy Store is closed. They will have a Grand Opening in July, I plan to go! SEE LINK HERE: **johnsricebowls.com**

Adventure Pass required per car can be purchased at Big 5 or REI.

• 8:00 AM CARPOOL, Meet at TARGET IN SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO. It is apprx 20 miles/30 minute drive to the trailhead from Target. I’ll be glad to drive anyone who wants to come along with me. I have room for four more.
• 8:45 AM TRAILHEAD - Park on Ortega Hwy 74 nearest the Candy Store, 34950 Ortega Hwy, Lake Elsinore, CA 92530. Adventure Pass required per car.
