Who are we?
Ever gone to a speed dating event or mixer and realized no one is your type? Frustrated with the lack of matches or quality of people you meet?
At My Type, we are committed to helping you connect with like-minded people. Our events, whether speed-dating or networking, are organized for people with similar values so that there is a greater chance at a connection!
We are a Vancouver-based company that is looking to serve the lower mainland with our services and are committed to the best experience possible. Finding matches is difficult enough already online, but finding them in person is also a challenge! At My Type we try and curate the crowd so that some real-life filters can already be applied before you arrive.
How Does it Work?
When you arrive to the venue you will be greeted by our host, who will be wearing a name tag so they are easily recognizable. The host will show you your seats in the designated area of the venue. Please arrive 15 minutes early so you have time to check-in with the host and grab a beverage.
You will be given a scorecard and the host will explain how it works. The ladies will stay in one seat and the gentlemen will rotate. Each date is 6-8 minutes and then the host will quietly move things along, so no bells or whistles!
At the end of the night, you'll select people you'd like to see again on your scorecard and then hand it in. You will be notified within 24 hours of the event if you matched with anyone and your emails will be exchanged.
NOTE: we do not share anyone's phone numbers or other personal information other than their email address and only if there is a match or with consent!
After the speed dating portion is over, feel free to stick around, socialize and grab some dinner!
