Summertime Sand-ness trail, October in Limburg!

I'm back from my summer travels, and I'm ready to reunite our community for some proper autumn magic! I'm ready to hear all your summer stories and meet the wonderful new members joining us.
Limburg landscape will transform into a spectacular mix of golden forests and misty paths, perfect for a cozy, atmospheric hike in October.

This is a real holiday trip for the soul. We'll wander through a hidden gem in the Netherlands, where the lakes reflect a landscape of deep autumn colors. It's the perfect atmosphere for sharing stories, laughter, and quiet moments. It’s a bit of a journey from Amsterdam (2.5 hours by public transport), but trust me, it’s worth it (personally, one of the most beautiful hikes in NL).

We'll navigate our own little ferry to reach a secret spot where we can rest and have a picnic together. Along the way, we'll hike through expansive forests and discover the true beauty of Limburg in the fall. To add a little medieval flair, we’ll see a castle with a story, tucked into the landscape—it’s a small twist that makes this hike extra special!
As always, we'll start from a cozy town café to fuel up with great coffee and the must-try Limburgse vlaai before we set off on our autumn adventure.
