Cool kids adventure in the woods

Hello friends,
This time, we’re escaping into the forests of Lage Vuursche for a day that starts slow, peaceful, and gezellig… and ends somewhere high up in the trees🌳

Just about an hour from Amsterdam, Lage Vuursche is a beautiful green area known for its dense forests, peaceful walking trails, charming estates, and lakes hidden among the trees. It feels surprisingly far away from city life, exactly what we need after a tough working week!

We’ll meet at 10:00 at a super cozy teahouse in the forest and start our day properly: with coffee, breakfast, toasties, and some time to get to know each other. No rushing. Just a very gezellig and relaxing morning surrounded by trees.

Once everyone is sufficiently caffeinated and happy, we’ll head out on our forest walk.
Imagine a beautiful summer hike through the woods, conversations along the way, and a picnic by a lake. Please bring your own lunch, a picnic towel, and, if you feel like it, something small to share, food is always a good way to make new friends.
We’ll also try to find some time to simply slow down. A little quiet moment by the lake, listening to the birds, maybe a short meditation, and absolutely nowhere else we need to be.

But… Campfires would not be Campfires without a little adventure 😏
In the afternoon, we’re heading to Klimbos Lage Vuursche — a climbing park hidden high among the trees. It has different routes through the forest canopy, with obstacles and challenges at different heights and difficulty levels.
We’ll do it together, encourage each other, and probably laugh at ourselves quite a lot. You’ll be fully secured with climbing equipment, so the goal is not to be scared, just to have fun and enjoy the adventure.

The ticket costs €29.50 and should be booked in advance. Other kids can be very competitive, and the slot may become fully booked 😅
The climbing adventure will take around three hours.

At approximately 18:00–18:30, we’ll take the bus towards Hilversum. From there, you can head directly home or join us for one last stop at a local brewery to celebrate our bravery before we call it a day 🍺

Short itinerary:
10:00 – Meeting & breakfast at the forest teahouse
~11:00 – Start of our forest walk
Forest trails, conversations & nature
~13:00 – Picnic by the lake
A little time to chill, listen to the birds & slow down
~15:00 – Klimbos adventure
~18:00–18:30 – Heading towards Hilversum
Afterwards – Going home or joining us for a celebratory beer
