Sir Tim Berners-Lee announced progress with his Solid Pods suggesting that individuals managing their own personal data could be the new, well, internet.

His company Inrupt has released technology that will allow better sharing of data between parties, all under the control of the individual.
Will this be the catalyst for the revolution to change the power imbalance inherent in data relationships?
