Hui Pu is a group of young and excellent musicians who will be playing the Blue Note this Saturday. Support local, live, young musicians at their best playing at Waikiki's premier music venue!
Prepare to be amazed by the prodigious talents of Hui Pū, whose members are not only musicians of exceptional skill but also remarkable individuals on their unique journeys.
Macyn Hanawahine, born and raised in Kapolei, is currently a Senior at Kamehameha Schools, Kapālama who recently accomplished his Honors Associate of Arts Degree in General Studies from Hawai'i Pacific University before completing high school. Macyn holds down the low end with the bass, providing a solid foundation for the bandʻs harmonious arrangements.
Kala'i Kealoha, hailing from Pālolo, where he was born and raised, is a junior at Saint Louis School who showcases a mastery of the ukulele that belies his age, captivating audiences with his soulful playing.
re Alos, a gifted guitarist, represents the artistic spirit of Mililani, where he was born and raised, adding his distinct style and influences to the bandʻs sound. Hui Pū takes listeners on a captivating musical journey, radiating the aloha spirit; together, these gifted individuals are destined to make a lasting mark on the vibrant music scene of Hawaii and beyond. Tickets on the day of the show, if available at the door, will be $30.
PLEASE, this event will require a ticket. Be sure to purchase your ticket(s) in advance for $20 each for general admission. We will show up early in hopes of securing a good table. Know that the Blue Note venue will require a $10 food and/or beverage purchase in addition to the cost of the ticket. This is a no host event.
Parking per Parkopedia at the hotel, the Ohana Waikiki East by Outrigger is $10 for four hours for customers. I presume this means you must get a validation at the venue.
Biki stands are close by on Kalakaua Avenue. Buses 20, 2/8/13, at Kuhio and Seaside dropoff, 23, 8/20/42 at Kaiulani and Kuhio dropoff.
