I posted happy hour because it's early, alcohol is optional.
How about enjoying an early happy hour at the Flying Fish Mkt & Grill?
Easy to find in Barefoot Landing next to the Alabama Theater.
We have a reservation AT 4pm. I choose not to drink, that may or may not be your choice. I mention this as it is not a bar. If you've not been there before, it's a great (affordable) restaurant.
I chose this type of venue as it is early enough to visit without the noise of loud Merry-Makers into the night.
I'm thinking visit, then maybe something to eat and even a walk through some of the shops and enjoy the surroundings.

Enjoy a self-guided tour of The Franklin G. Burroughs-Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum. Exhibits by Ashlyn Pope, Alex Powers and Jo-Ann Morgan will be featured on the museum's multiple levels. Located at 3100 South Ocean Boulevard, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, 29577, the Franklin G. Burroughs-Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum is Myrtle Beach and the Grand Strand’s only art museum. Since 1997, it has stood as a beacon of culture for residents who visit from Horry and Georgetown counties, as well as for thousands of visitors from throughout our state, country and world.

Just steps away from the beach, the Art Museum nestles beneath live oaks while serenely overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Housed in a vintage beach cottage that once was a vacation home for the families of two Carolina textile magnates, the Art Museum is a nonprofit institution.

(The) 11 galleries, including a spacious reception gallery, house exhibitions of regional, national and international appeal that change frequently and offer a constant array of evocative, thoughtful artwork, often accompanied with enhancing, dynamic programming.

Cost for the self-guided tour is $8 ($5 for those 65 and older). Museum memberships are available. Donations are welcomed.

For those who have interest, we may visit the restaurant/lounge at the DoubleTree Resort by Hilton for a meal and/or beverages after the museum tour. The hotel is within walking distance from the museum.
