Abstract:
Members of the Oracle MySQL team will host an update on MySQL, including product overviews, updates, new features, best practices and a look ahead into upcoming versions of MySQL, In addition, we'll have a Q&A session to discuss any other topics that come to mind.
Topics will include:
· MySQL 5.5 Overview
· Oracle’s Roadmap for MySQL, including specifics on MySQL 5.6
· Best practices and how to overcome development and operational MySQL challenges
· The new MySQL commercial extensions
This meeting offers a great opportunity to understand what's new with MySQL and learn what the future holds for MySQL, the world’s most popular open source database.
Speaker Bio:
Benjamin Wood is a MySQL engineer and five year veteran of the MySQL organization. Benjamin has spent nearly two decades with relational databases. He combines extensive hands-on production experience with knowledge gained from a wide variety of real-world customer deployments of MySQL.
