Would you like to do something for the nature in the greenest capital of Europe? Are you looking for hands-on experiences and a meaningful volunteering opportunity in the field of conservation? Do you want to connect with like-minded individuals, but you are not that comfortable with speaking German?
The Naturschutzbund Deutschland e.V. (NABU) is a German non-governmental organization dedicated to the protection of nature and wildlife in the country and abroad.
We, the volunteers of the NABU Bezirksgruppe Pankow, would like to open our group to English speakers. Though currently we are focusing on the borough of Pankow (including Prenzlauer Berg, Weißensee, Buch), over time this international group might grow to cover all of Berlin.
Our activities range from tending to natural habitats and green spaces, protecting the urban wildlife, participating in community gardening to organizing educational activities and workshops for children. No matter if you are just a nature enthusiast or a seasoned professional with background in biology, everyone is welcome who wants to make a difference.
