πŸ‘‰ Using GraphQL with Prisma

Synopsis: GraphQL provides a powerful way for web and mobile apps to fetch data from an API. However, as a backend developer, you are still responsible for how your GraphQL server retrieves the requested data from the database by implementing your GraphQL resolvers – that's where Prisma comes in.
This talk will cover how to use Prisma inside of GraphQL resolvers to query a database, using the apollo-server for the http layer, and a schema-first approach for the implementation.

Speakers:

  • Joey Ng'ethe (https://twitter.com/AfricanSinatra) - Joey is a Frontend Engineer at Twiga Foods, and the founder of the GraphQL Nairobi Meetup. Joey mostly builds React apps powered by GraphQL backends and likes to share his knowledge with the community through his blog posts (https://joeynimu.com/), workshops, and meetups.
  • Mahmoud Abdelwahab ****(https://twitter.com/thisismahmoud_) - Mahmoud is a Developer Advocate at Prisma and an instructor at Egghead.io. He is obsessed with & creating exceptional, high-quality, content and applications.

πŸ‘‰ How to create GraphQL queries using the graphql-js library

Synopsis: Writing #GraphQL queries is easy if you learn the syntax, but did you know that you can generate queries with code? This talk will cover Dynamic GraphQL Queries
