Hello Nairobi JVM,

Let's meet and discuss deconstructing monoliths.

Microservices is an approach to building software applications and infrastructure. Instead of building a single, monolithic application, individual teams build and iterate on small "microservices". This method was pioneered by companies such as Google, Twitter, Amazon, and Netflix, and is now being widely adopted by many organizations, large and small.

Speaker:
Francis Kore - Software Engineer SafeBoda

Francis is a software engineer at SafeBoda dealing mainly in backend systems and infrastructure.

He has been interested in software since high school from learning to say `Hello world` in Visual Basic to verifying and maintaining batch jobs at a telco company. From compiling `c` binaries to deploying his first WAR container in Tomcat. He has a keen and professional interest in distributed systems. Working to have performant event based systems that are reactive, consistent and available. This is where he met the pattern of micro services.
