PLEASE READ: Important Info for newbies, especially "How to Join"

Naked Adventure Club of Detroit (NACD) is an AANR-affiliated coed social group founded in Westland, MI, in 2022. With over 520 members on the Meetup app, our mission is simple: create safe, 100% non-sexual events and spaces for people to #DoFunShitNaked.

For many, the idea of shedding clothes and inhibitions is new and exhilarating. Whether you're a seasoned nudie or curious to try, we welcome you! We organize hiking, camping, bowling, karaoke, and other activities with the support of local businesses. Events across the Great Lakes region—and sometimes beyond—are fair game!

Being naked allows us to drop our pretenses and truly be ourselves, fostering acceptance of both ourselves and others. The honesty and vulnerability that come with nudity are beautiful, and our mission is to celebrate our bodies in a non-sexual, inclusive, and body-positive environment.

We welcome people of all ages, types, shapes, sizes, colors, and gender identities. Our events are safe spaces, where harassment is not tolerated. It’s important to stress that nudity does not imply any sort of consent for anything. This group is not for those who cannot separate nudity from sex. No exhibitionists or voyeurs.

HOW TO JOIN:
To become a member, please answer the membership questions completely and include a current photo of yourself—face, full body, or something that represents your current appearance, NO NUDITY. Profiles without a photo, or with pictures of objects or places, will not be approved.

POLICIES
Messaging:
NACD and the Meetup app are designed to connect you with in-person social events, not for establishing online connections with people. Therefore, you can only message other members if:
1. You’ve met that person at a NACD event.
2. You’ve asked for and received permission to message them.
This rule will be strictly enforced, and violations may result in permanent removal from the group. If you receive an unwanted message, please email us at nakedadventureclub@gmail.com with screenshots.

Photography:
Sometimes our organizers will take photos to promote the group and share the joys of naturism. We will always announce before taking any pictures, and you can choose how you'd like to be included—or opt out entirely. If you prefer not to be photographed whatsoever, simply grab a red wristband. You can also ask an organizer to take photos of you and your friends with your phone or ensure an organizer is present when you're snapping pics.
