Notting Hill Carnival: Photography treasure hunt

Join us for a photography 'scavenger hunt' on the streets of Notting Hill! If you have never been to the carnival (http://www.thelondonnottinghillcarnival.com/experience.html), it is an amazing day of culture, music, dance and energy!

Meet us at 11:30 for a drink at the Prince Albert pub (http://www.the-prince-albert.co.uk/garden) and make new friends, before getting into teams of 3-5 people.

We will explore the streets of Notting Hill and work together to complete "missions" by finding things and photographing them. You will be given a map and a list of things to find. It's a fun way to explore the carnival, take in the amazing atmosphere and take some great photos (you can see the carnival route on this map (http://www.timeout.com/london/things-to-do/notting-hill-carnival-route-map)).

You don't need anything other than a simple camera (even a phone is OK). It doesn't matter if you have never done photography before. This is for beginners, amateurs and professionals.

We will meet from 11:30pm at the Prince Albert pub (http://www.the-prince-albert.co.uk/). It is very close to Notting Hill Gate station. At around 12:00pm we will start the scavenger hunt!

You will be given a map and a "mission pack". Teams will be competing to find the most things, and to take the best photos of them. Sounds simple :)

We will then all meet again at 3pm. The carnival won't be over, but we will get together to buy some snacks, before heading to the park for a picnic.

The event is £3.00, and this can be paid at the event.

Notes:

• 1. There will be a group Dropbox folder so that everyone can upload and share their photos after the event. This is how you can enter the competition and exhibition. You do not have to share your photos if you don't want to.

• 2. If you share your photos then they will be entered into the next World View exhibition! Everyone who comes to this Meetup will also have free entry to the exhibition.

• 3. If they are selected for the exhibition then you will also be able to sell prints of your work, if you wish (a commission will go to the exhibition organizer)

• 4. This event is a fun day out for everyone who likes exploring London and it's culture. It is for anyone, from total beginners to pro photographers, who would like to take their art to the next level :)
