With over 40 support & social groups, both family members and people living with mental illness are sure to find a group that fits.
Share your current experiences, give and get support, and learn from others facing similar challenges. All groups are led by trained volunteers with lived experience and are a safe and judgment-free environment of mutual respect.

See all- Suicide Loss SurvivorsNational Alliance on Mental Illness - NYC, New York, NY
This is a support group for those who have lost a loved one to suicide, whether or not they were living with mental illness.
This non-clinical group is for people who have lost a loved one with whom they had a direct in-person relationship. The loss must have occurred at least two months ago.
This group is offered in partnership with The Samaritans NYC.
If you or someone you know is struggling with suicidal ideation, we also have a Living with Thoughts of Suicide support group.
Our groups are not for people in crisis. For emergencies, call 988.
Observers are not permitted.

Get some exercise, enjoy the outdoors, and build community with NAMI-NYC! Walking and running have significant benefits for your physical and mental health. People of all ages and paces, including walking, will be very welcome.
The running group is rain or shine, but we will cancel for inclement weather. Please check the website before heading out. Cancellations will be announced by noon the day of the group.
2nd Mondays, 6:30 PM
Arrive at 6 PM for socializing and resources.Route is 2 miles.
