Share your current experiences, give and get support, and learn from others facing similar challenges. All groups are led by trained volunteers with lived experience and are a safe and judgment-free environment of mutual respect.

Sibling and Adult Child Mental Health Support Group
National Alliance on Mental Illness - NYC, 307 West 38th Street, 8th Floor, New York, NY, USThis is a mental health support group for siblings or adult children of individuals with mental illness.
Groups are non-clinical and are led by two people who have a sibling or parent living with mental illness.
At the beginning of the group, NAMI guidelines and principles are shared, which is followed by a check in. Participants are invited to introduce themselves and speak a bit about how they are doing in the present moment. This is followed by an opportunity to give support, get support, share what has worked for you and what has not.
Come 30 minutes early to chat with us, learn about resources, and enjoy light snacks! To minimize disruption, no one will be admitted 15 minutes after the group starts.

•OnlineSupporting Loved Ones Living with Suicidal Thoughts
OnlineAbout 12.2 million adults have thoughts of suicide. This group is for their loved ones. Share your experiences and listen to others who are close to someone with suicidal ideation. This group offers support in a welcoming, non-judgmental environment and is facilitated by family members of people with mental health needs.
Closed captioning is available.
We invite you to join us five minutes before the group starts. Everyone who arrives by 12:35pm will be admitted into the meeting. After 12:35pm, you may not be admitted based on group capacity. No one will be admitted after 1pm.
If you are struggling with suicidal ideation, we also have a Living with Thoughts of Suicide support group.
Our groups are not for people in active crisis. For emergencies, call the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline at 988.
