What we’re about
This group meets regularly to have open ended discussions on methods and attitudes necessary to live a good life. Our focus will be on studying the lessons of the Stoics, the Taoists, and the Buddhists. We will discuss how these lessons play out in our own lives. We will discuss passages from these books: Meditations by Marcus Aurelius, The Tao de Ching by Lao Tzu, teachings from the Buddha, the Art of War by Sun Tzu, and many others.
We will not talk about religion or politics but at the same time, we welcome men from any religious background or political leaning. This will be a group who strives to answer question of how to live a good, ethic, and resilient life and to not pass judgment. This will be a group of positive and solution oriented thinkers who strive to live a better life and to make life better for those they love and all they encounter on a daily basis.
It is our intent to have this be a group that men can turn to to feel uplifted and supported and a group where we can find mentors and friends.
