Little Mountain summit from Top Bridge Park
Details
Approx 16km/455m accumulated elevation gain @ "a notch above" moderate pace. You s/b @ minimum a strong “B/moderate” level hiker or higher to enjoy this longer hike. Not suited to anyone with balance/knee/mobility/cardio deficiencies.
Pet-free hike/NO DOGS please. Pit toilet @ parking lot.
Short stop for snack @ "Boulder City" and/or summit.
REMINDER: be prepared to show some of the Ten Essentials/First Aid supplies that you personally have in your pack.
Details: cross suspension bridge and follow trail along Englishman River. Then up onto forested trails & old access road, passing thru "Boulder City" via mountain bike trails, up to Little Mountain summit. Hoping for views of Mount Arrowsmith & Moriarty. Short loop @ top with another viewpoint that looks over to The Notch before heading down to powerline. Approx 25 minutes along powerline right-of-way, then back along river trail to parking lot.
Expect puddles/wet/muddy/slippery conditions, varied and unstable terrain (stones, roots & navigate over some blowdown) and thru some gates on powerline right-of-way. Hiking boots/shoes with good tread required. Poles may be beneficial.
