Linley Valley loop

Approx 11km/300m accumulated elevation gain @ "a notch over" moderate pace.
You s/b @ minimum a strong “B/moderate” level hiker or higher to enjoy this hike. Not suited to anyone with balance/knee/mobility/cardio deficiencies.
Brief snack break along the way.
Pet-free hike/NO DOGS please. No pit toilets.
Will be hiking a loop on forested trails, ridges & rocky knoll, partway around the edge of Cottle Lake on new walkway and up to rock cairn overlooking Departure Bay.
Expect puddles, wet, slippery conditions with varied and unstable terrain (stones, roots & some blowdown). Hiking boots/shoes with good tread required. Hiking poles may be beneficial for this one. Bring traction aids just in case.
