Creeper Trail Easter Egg Hunt

If you are wondering what is an Easter Egg Hunt on Creeper Trail is, you will have to join the hike to find out. You won't be searching for eggs, but perhaps something else!! It will definitely be a "Sweet" hike. More to follow at the start-up of our hike Sunday.
We will still be doing the full hike at slightly more than a moderate pace, but the hike could be longer than anticipated pending our Hunt!

Elevation gain of around 250 meters

The Creeper skirts along the inland/valley side side of Extension Ridge. A geologically interesting route with plenty of caves, huge boulders, & old coal mines. We will take short stops along the route to enjoy the scenery. The hike goes to the abyss and then returns partly the same way, and partly along a different route along the ridge.

Drive along Virotsko Rd, past the last beige house on the right. You will then be on a dirt road. Keep going about 100 to 200 meters. Parking is on both sides of the road.

This route requires a moderate fitness level. Ability to maintain a moderate pace is essential. Those with any mobility, cardio deficiencies should avoid this event. Poles are recommended. Suggest you bring your own tracking device if you have to turn around.
