Copley Ridge 3 view discovery route.

I have done this route but have not recorded it as a route.

We will explore the Copley Ridge area trails and make our way to these beautiful viewpoints. our first view point is an area the rock climbers use (crag) we will then continue on to another spectacular view point above the foothills overlooking Departure bay. Our 3rd viewpoint will be into another rock climbing area where there are lg rock formations to climb over (this area is optional as we will only be in there a few minutes). Once we have a look around we will reurn to the trail and follow it leading to our 3rd viewpoint also overlooking Departure Bay. Of course all these viewpoints are dependant on the weather…

There are steep areas on this hike and poles will help for the descent.

You should be a strong “B” level hiker to enjoy this hike. Sorry no dogs, hopefully we will get to see some on the trail though.

Distance 10-12ish k
Elevation between 250-350 meters
Time should be 3-3.5
Pace moderate

Items to bring
Poles
Water and snack
Good hiking footwear
First aid kit
A tracking device should you need to turn around
