Where: Bowen Park Picnic Shelter, just off Wall St.
When: Wednesday , 9 September 2026
Time: 5:30 pm - 7:30ish

Rain or shine, we are going to have a Social - Hiking equipment swap - Fundraiser Fee Raiser at Bowen Park Picnic Shelter.
Meetup Fees:
The main reason we are having this social is to pay for our meet-up fee. Our group leader, Brian, pays the fee, but it is up to us hikers to cover the cost for this fee.
A contribution of no more than $15 would be appreciated!
The contribution can be made for all those that do plan on attending the Social and for those who will not be attending in the following ways:
- E-transfer. Send me a message on this Meetup notification below under "Start the conversation" or send a msg via the "messages" on the meet-up, and I’ll send back the directions of where to send this e-transfer. Some of you may have already conversed with me via meet-up email, phone call, etc. so please contact me any way you'd prefer.
- At our meetup social, there will be a Meetup Fee Donation Box for those who have not previously donated. Cash or check will be welcomed.
- Final way is in person to me, Donna. Send me a message on this meetup and I’ll contact you.
Hiking Equipment Swap/Sale:
Any hiking/sport equipment is welcomed. This will work like a garage sale. When you sell/buy, it will be a private sale between members. The seller keeps the funds. Table will be set up for the items.
Tentative schedule for the event:
5:30-6pm - meet and greet
6 ish -6:45 pm - chat from Brian, and the 'fun' questionnaire
7-7:15 - money is counted and given to Brian.
*Just like all our hikes, if want to bring your own snacks and drinks, please do so.
**This is NOT a pot luck
***There will be plenty of picnic tables for everyone
