You s/b @ minimum a strong “B/moderate” level hiker or higher to enjoy this hike. Not suited to anyone with balance/knee/mobility/cardio deficiencies.
Brief snack break along the way.
Pet-free hike/NO DOGS please. No pit toilet.

Will be hiking a loop on forested trails, ridges & rocky knolls, up to Cottle Hill (radio towers). Hike partway around the edge of Cottle Lake on new walkway and up to rock cairn overlooking Departure Bay, then take Linley Valley Main trail back to vehicles.

Expect varied and unstable terrain (stones, roots & some blowdown). Hiking boots/shoes with good tread required. Hiking poles may be beneficial for this one.
