Charlie Kirk & “The Left” Need to Talk: Seeking the Whole Truth, Together

This online Zoom conversation group will meet every Monday evening. Before you can participate, you will need to contact the organizer via messages before the event (preferably at least a day in advance) with a bit about your interest in the group.

It is for everyone whose primary interest is in seeking, together with others (of both like mind, and unlike mind), the whole truth (of ourselves, each other, and the world), especially in the context of "what is happening in the world today" in terms of politics, war, economics, free speech, culture, values, sexuality, etc.

We will be taking as our starting point segments of YouTube videos of Charlie Kirk in conversation with other people (especially people “on the left”), or videos of people talking about Charlie Kirk, as fully-open-to-critique starting points for more wide-ranging whole-truth-seeking conversations about the topics that emerge from the viewing. We may choose videos from other speakers as well. If you join us, please feel free to suggest a video you would like to discuss (with others who may have a very different take on things!)

Whlie there is a facilitator (who is also a participant), it is primarily the conversation structure itself that is the “container” for the conversation:

3 minutes for each speaker (strictly timed)
Taking turns in order.
At least two, preferably three, deep belly breaths between each speaker

This format is designed to slow the conversation down, encourage reflection, and provide time for processing before responding.

Note: MeetUp may send you a ZOOM LINK when you RSVP. Do not use that link! We will be using a DIFFERENT zoom link. You will first need to contact the organizer/facilitator via Messages, and share a bit about yourself and your interest in the group. After you have contacted the organizer, he will send you the actual zoom link that we will be using.
