I am happy to host my first Groupmuse in Napa! This will be in my Japanese inspired cabin in the hills above Napa. A perfect backdrop for a musical afternoon. Groupmuse is a worker- and musician-owned cooperative seeking to uplift artists and strengthen broader community bonds through live, intimate performances of historically-rooted music. Ticket prices and donations go directly to the musicians. Please arrive by 1:45 at the latest, Performance will start at 2pm promptly. Parking is very limited, ride share is encouraged. The band Dirty Cello travels all over the world playing a cello-centric version of a wide variety of American music. From the desert near the Red Sea to far Northern Iceland, and everywhere in between, this band presents wild versions of music from the American tradition including the early jazz of New Orleans, modern blues, lightening fast bluegrass and more. The program will intersperse the music with stories of their crazy travels.
