Let's go on a moonlit stroll on the boardwalk - Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary

The public is invited to experience a magical evening at Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary on August 7th! Under the nearly full moon, guests can explore the 2.25-mile boardwalk through an ancient bald cypress forest with trees more than 500 years old.

The event runs from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. The moon rises at 7:10 p.m., with sunset at 8 p.m. The last admission is at 8:30. Discount tickets for this night only for $8.

Guests are encouraged to wear a long-sleeved shirt, long pants, and socks to deter mosquitos. Red cellophane is available for this event at the admissions desk to cover flashlights or cameras/cell phones that use a white flash, as red light is less disruptive to nocturnal wildlife.
