For our March 11, 2026monthly meeting we have Big Cypress National Preserve Ranger Michelle Bonebrake Presenting:
Thieves and Tricksters: Surprising Swamp Survival Strategies
You’ve probably heard people described as “sly as a fox” or “deceitful as a snake.” But have you ever considered that plants might be liars or that tiny insects could be bullies? Join Ranger Michelle Bonebrake to learn about a few surprising ways native plants and animals of Big Cypress National Preserve use deception, intrigue, and outright theft to survive the challenges of the unique ecosystem in which they live.

We will experiment with putting the meetings on Facebook LIVE for those who can’t be there.

Meetings are regularly scheduled on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 6:30pm, in the North Collier Govt Center at Orange Blossom Drive, just off Airport Rd and across the parking lot from the Main Branch of the Collier County Library. Come to the left (south) corner of the Government Center.

After the meeting some of us meet up for dinner someplace.

WE CAN THROW A MEETING - BE THERE!!!!!!
