My plan is to have the First Sunday Paddle at Clam Pass every other month. In the intervening months, the venue will vary. But for the March First Sunday, it's at good old Clamato Pass.

We'll launch at 9 AM, so be there by 8:30 to unload and prepare. Be sure to bring drinking water, bug repellent, sunscreen, and underarm deodorant. (Just in case.) We're paddling from the south end of Clam Bay up to the north end of Clam Bay, going through some wide open areas and some tight mangrove trails and tunnels. We'll visit a bird rookery and hope to see plenty of birdies. We'll probably take a side trip on the return route to the mouth of Clam Pass. You never know what kind of wildlife you'll see there.

There is no launch fee to get your boat wet at Clam Pass Park, but there is a parking fee of $10 for anyone who does not have a Collier County Parks Pass sticker in their windshield. You pay through an app that you can access from a text number on the sign at the Park.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call me or text me on my cell: 239.963.6162. See you March 1, 2026!
