“Naples Tea Party Gives Thanks”

A week from this coming Saturday, on November 19th, the Naples Tea Party will hold a rally at Cambier Park in downtown Naples at 2:00 PM and it will last till 3:00 PM. One short hour of your time is all we are asking, plus something that will make a difference in the lives of many. Mark your calendars.

Our rally will have a Thanksgiving theme. We have enlisted the St. Matthews House to help us with this event. We’ll call it “Naples Tea Party Gives Thanks”………and, show GRATITUDE …… not ATTITUDE, with the purpose being to give thanks for living in the United States and to collect food for the needy.

Instead of making demands and attacking capitalism or any other political issue, we will give freely, cheerfully and not expect anything in return.

I hope all of you will support this event. It will be our only Naples Tea Party rally between now and next year. Bring your Tea Party signs….do not mention “Occupy,” and if the media decides to show up and you are interviewed, try to keep the “Occupy Movement” out of the discussion. Focus on our theme....Thanksgiving.

Be sure and bring an American flag if you choose not to hold a sign.

Last year they gave over 1500 meals to needy families, and expect to give that many, if not more, this year. Please help us to feed everyone who comes to their door this year by contributing any of the recommended items to this collection.

· instant potatoes boxed(16oz)

· canned corn (15oz)

· canned green beans (15oz)

· canned yams (15oz)

· canned cranberry sauce (16oz)

· jars of turkey gravy (8oz)

· frozen turkeys

We do need some help with this. If you can, please bring some small boxes to place the food items in. St. Matthews people will take the boxes to their truck when they are filled.
