Why and How to use Audio Middleware for Indie Games

Audio is an important tool in any game developer's arsenal. While game engines include audio functionality, they often miss the mark for quality and ease of use. Russell Mehringer, Co-Owner of NPALL Audio, a local sound design and audio post production studio, will give a beginner friendly introduction to the audio middleware Wwise and go through some example implementations in the free and open source game engine, Godot. A follow-along project will be provided. Most of the content can be applied to game engines other than Godot and even custom engines.
