This talk will get everyone up to speed on the art and practice of Bash Scripting. We'll cover the history of the technology, the role it has played in various tech stacks over the years, and when/how it is best used today (as well as when it should be avoided). If you're new to Bash scripting, you'll leave this talk writing Bash one-liners that do things you didn't even realize could be automated so easily! We'll learn about for-loops, grep (ag, ack), sed, awk, xargs, join, curl, tmux, pipes, watch, and more.
