When AI Agents Work Together: A2A, MCP, and Connected AI
Details
Agenda:
6:00 PM - 7:30 PM - When AI Agents Work Together: A2A, MCP, and Connected AI
Abstract:
AI agents are powerful, but most still operate in isolation. This session explains how Agent2Agent, or A2A, enables independent agents to discover, communicate, and collaborate across frameworks and vendors.
We will compare A2A with MCP, explain core concepts such as Agent Cards, messages, tasks, artifacts, streaming, and discovery, and discuss what is stable today versus what is still evolving.
The session also includes practical demonstrations using Microsoft Agent Framework with .NET and Python, showing how to expose an agent as an A2A endpoint, consume a remote agent, stream responses, and support long-running tasks.
The talk is designed for developers, architects, technology leaders, product teams, and anyone interested in the future of connected AI systems.
