Azure Machine Learning Step 6: Team Environment & Enterprise Governance

In this sixth session of the Azure Machine Learning series, we’ll shift from individual workflows to team-based development and enterprise-scale operations. As machine learning projects grow, success depends not just on models and data, but on how teams collaborate, manage access, and enforce governance across environments. Azure Machine Learning provides the tools needed to support secure, scalable, and well-governed ML practices across an organization.
This session focuses on the practical aspects of building a team-ready and enterprise-grade ML environment within Azure ML. You’ll learn how to structure workspaces, manage permissions, and implement governance controls that enable collaboration while maintaining security, compliance, and cost visibility. Whether you’re continuing from Step 5 or working in a multi-team environment, this session will help you understand how to operate Azure ML at scale.
You’ll learn:

• How team environments fit into the machine learning lifecycle
• How to structure Azure ML workspaces, hubs, and registries for collaboration
• How to manage access using Azure RBAC, identities, and role assignments
• How to organize and share assets (data, models, environments, components) across teams
• Techniques for enforcing governance with policies, naming standards, and resource controls
• Best practices for cost management, tagging, and FinOps in ML workloads
• How to implement CI/CD and MLOps workflows across teams and environments

Strategies for ensuring reproducibility, auditability, and compliance
This session is designed to help you move from “I can build and deploy models” to “I can support teams and govern ML at enterprise scale.” If you’re ready to enable collaboration, enforce standards, and operate machine learning responsibly across your organization, this is your next step.
