Nashville Country Dancers

Have you ever seen Bridgerton or watched a Jane Austen movie?

If so, you’ve seen English Country Dancing! These short, easy-to-learn social dances are done to beautiful music. Each dance is taught before it is danced so you’ll learn everything you need to know.

No partner required - come by yourself or bring a friend.

NOTE: NO DANCES are held on FEDERAL HOLIDAYS because the community center is closed. (ex. Labor Day, Christmas, etc.)

Contra dance is a social dance – You’ll see a lot of smiling faces as you dance up and down the lines with multiple dance “partners” and “neighbors." You do not have to bring a partner!

NOTE: Intro dance lesson is at 7:30pm. Dance runs from 8-10:30pm.

There will be a dance caller who teaches the dance and walks you through each part before the music begins. He or she also calls the dance figures during the music to help you remember what to do.

Our Friday night dances usually feature LIVE music, but, for this dance, the callers, Crystal Melton and Denali Relles, will use a variety of recorded tunes!

We ask for a minimum donation of $7 from each person to keep this event going. More is welcome and appreciated!

Our Friday night dances feature LIVE music, played by amazing musicians! Bands often have fiddles, guitars, or piano. You may also hear bass, mandolin, sometimes winds, and percussion.
